Our TeamWTRA is comprised of 60+ members who are supporting the advancement of therapeutic recreation in Wisconsin. Of those 60+ members, we have a 9 member Board of Directors and 4 active committees. | Our HistoryPrior to the developmental stages of WTRA in 2017, Wisconsin has had many active professionals in the field of therapeutic recreation who were committed to growing the profession. At the end of 2017 a group of members from the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) from Wisconsin worked to develop a chapter affiliate for the state. As of June 2018, WTRA was able to become a chapter affiliate and a non-profit organization to support individuals in the field of therapeutic recreation. | Our MissionTo advance the field of therapeutic recreation through professional development, education, advocacy, resources, and support. |
